Creating the film trailer

As I've been edited my shots and putting them together I realised I need to film more quick shots to create a more proffessional feel as other film trailers have a huge amount of small quick shots they use.

Extra shots for trailer

Bloody hammer
Shot of running down hall
Outside of house
Close up of hands
Close up of mother
Shot of person looking out window
Birds flying
Bonfire
Shots of different rooms
Something being thrown down the stairs

Film poster completed

Here is my completed film poster. From inspiration from 'The Lovely Bones' poster I decided to blend two images together. I took a photo of my actress and cropped her eyes and edited them slightly. The idea was to suggest her eyes where 'enticing'. Only seeing the characters eyes in the poster creates mystery and makes the audience want to watch the film and know more about this character.

Film poster idea

Heres my first idea for placing the face. I think I want to make the eyes more dominant.

Film magazine cover completed

Here is my completed film magazine cover called 'Flick'. This cover was influenced by 'Studio' magazine. My target audience is women ages 17-30. I'm going to ask for feedback from women in this age group to see if I have created a good product for my audience. I used a very typical feminine colour scheme black, pink and white, which are colours which usually attract female attention. I also tried to incoporate fashion magazine conventions into my film magazine like 'Studio' magazine does which also appeals to many young women. The magazine name came from the idea of a simple, easy to remember word. Also the fact that you can 'flick' through a magazine. Also the idea of a 'chick flick', the word 'flick' alone is quite a feminine word I think.
