Creating the film trailer
As I've been edited my shots and putting them together I realised I need to film more quick shots to create a more proffessional feel as other film trailers have a huge amount of small quick shots they use.
Extra shots for trailer
Bloody hammer
Shot of running down hall
Outside of house
Close up of hands
Close up of mother
Shot of person looking out window
Birds flying
Bonfire
Shots of different rooms
Something being thrown down the stairs

Film poster completed
Here is my completed film poster. From inspiration from 'The Lovely Bones' poster I decided to blend two images together. I took a photo of my actress and cropped her eyes and edited them slightly. The idea was to suggest her eyes where 'enticing'. Only seeing the characters eyes in the poster creates mystery and makes the audience want to watch the film and know more about this character.
Film magazine cover completed
Here is my completed film magazine cover called 'Flick'. This cover was influenced by 'Studio' magazine. My target audience is women ages 17-30. I'm going to ask for feedback from women in this age group to see if I have created a good product for my audience. I used a very typical feminine colour scheme black, pink and white, which are colours which usually attract female attention. I also tried to incoporate fashion magazine conventions into my film magazine like 'Studio' magazine does which also appeals to many young women. The magazine name came from the idea of a simple, easy to remember word. Also the fact that you can 'flick' through a magazine. Also the idea of a 'chick flick', the word 'flick' alone is quite a feminine word I think.
Photo shoot for film poster
Here are the photos from my photo shoot for my film poster.
I decided to focus on the eyes as they are 'enticing'.
I'm going to blend them into the background image of the clouds.

film poster poses
In my film poster I want a picture of my main character blended into the background. I want the character to seem strong here are some film posters who portray this 'strong woman' image.
film magazine poses
I've researched poses for my actress to try out for the cover of my film magazine.
I looked at Elle magazine because all of their covers have women on the front.

Film magazine cover
Here's the start on my film magazine cover. I've called the film 'Flick' as it sounds like 'chick flick' and its simple and catchy. I still need to get an image of my main character but I want my magazine to have a glossy fashion magazine feel but still keeping with the fact its a film magazine.
Film magazine covers
I started to design my film magazine covers. I wanted to create a film magazie aimed at women as my film is dominated by the idea of female empowerment.
I started to research film magazines but I found that most of them are aimed at young men such as 'Total Film'. This magazine is aimed at men with the colour scheme, blue, red, black and white. Also the films they feature are very much all action and war films like 'Valkyrie'.
I then looked at 'Studio' magazine which is a film magazine which their target audience is women. They have taken the conventions of a glossy fashion magazine and used that to create a film magazine.
They use strong actresses as their muse and they talk about holiday and the red carpet incorporating fashion with film. I like this concept and want to use these conventions to create a film magazine for women ages 18-30.

Film poster
Here is my poster in the process of being made. In the space left I am going to put an image of my main character.
My inspiration for this poster came from the 'Lovely Bones' posters.
I like the use of the face blending into the sky. I want to use this convention in my poster, it gives the poster a very spiritual atmopshere.

Researching film posters
Here are a few film posters I like,
I like this poster from the film 'This is England' because it shows its gritty style and is also quite disturbing given an incentive of what the film may be like. I'm going to carry on looking at British film posters and I think they will be more relevant with my small film.
I like the idea of the layout in this poster. I like how the title is on the floor like the character is running over it. I like the aggressive font, which portrays the films atmosphere. The red, yellows and blacks in the poster also show a harsh and aggressive atmosphere.
